From Infinite Intagalio to DESIGN MUTHOS

Indus valley and Jainism History has been the mirror of the FIRST SAREE DRAPE, that depicts the private zest of the elegance of delicate women. These balanced bonce powers of patience which in other words we call “woman” are an entice alliance to the respectful society.
This beauty spreads all over Ancient India, through every region developing their own style of manufacture and draping pattern of the sari along with that of top Basque Blouse Garment, hence natives are recognized from the style of sari like that of,
Benaras -Chikan, Benarasi
Patan, Gujarat -Patola saree
West Bengal -Kantha
Orissa -Ikat
Bangladesh -Jamdani
-Tangail Tanter Sari
Rajasthan -Bandhni
-Kota Doria
Andhra Pradesh -Venkatagiri
-Mangalgiri
-Pochampally
Mandhya Pradesh -Chanderi
Tamil Nadu -Kanchipuram
Karnataka -Mysore silk
The well-known truth is that a woman is born with an attitude of beautifying herself.
This encourages the textile industry and designers of today to fulfil the supreme desire of these of these humble creatures of completion to them.
Our inspiration to paint these delicately elegant “saris” like canvas design, when draped around women gives a sense of completion to them.
There is no doubt about the BOUNTEOUS PARADISE that has been depicted flawlessly on the walls, both in miniature or cave painting, by renowned artist.
Various paintings like the traditional, classical, abstract, modern art, are also works of vivid artists like “Sir Jacob Epstein, Fernand Ledger, Pablo Picasso, Diego, Mark Rothko, Arshile Gorky, Wayne Thieband, William Morries, Van Godh, Monet, Leonardo-da Vinci, Michelangelo, Canaletto, Goya, David Hockney, Raja Ravi Verma, Thakur Rabindranath whose inspirational creations touch the soul of a designer.
After studying the history of their work of these well-esteemed artists, we have painted canvases on silk saris for one to glance the true “Artist Soul”.
“PRAISE THE GOD ONLY
PRAISE THE “WORK” OF HUMANS…
To begin with in the name of God, Most Gracious Most Merciful.
Praise be to God, The Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds.
Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Master of the Day of Judgment.
Thee do we worship, And Thine aid we seek.
Show us the straight way.
The way of those on whom
Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace,
Those whose (portion)
Is it not wrath,
And who go not astray.”
“Think for India, Work for India,
Live for India, and Die for India

Branding Education Manial
But does true education need branding?
Since almost 94% of education in India is not branded. Does that mean that there is no education according to the present scenario?
Branded education is all about packaging education with outer covering of providing good infrastructure, perfect ambience, all round facilities, like auditorium, refreshment zone, display rooms, exhibition hall etc for all kinds of activities.
But what is the purpose? Who ensures quality in the matter of learning? What are we more interested in? The actual or the extra? The true essence of education is not about getting carried away by the outer looks or glamour of the package.
It is all about the willingness to learn by the students and the passion to teach by the teacher whatever he/she is capable of.
GIFT believes in “NO FRILLS…… In Teaching Learning Policy”
Here the main focus is on the students making them believe in their talent for creative art. And all this is done in a period 4 months that too at a cost, which is unbelievably within everybody’s means.
NOW…. Only for GIFT students!
Polish your skills by all means in the global arena after completing the GIFT Diploma, “Save time and money” and join the advanced designing course at D & A Design and Arts college of New Zealand or London School of Arts and Design.
“If you have the passion….. we have the time”

The essence and the ethos of ‘natura’ is effusively elicited in all its enigma…

Archana Shah

It was in the early 1980’s that Archana Shah , a graduate of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, started applying the western design principles she had learnt as a student to traditional textiles and their crafts. The result of this continuing collaboration of a modern sensibility and the traditional knowledge and skills to create clothing and accessories created the BANDHEJ brand.

Today Bandhej is a well respected brand known for its design innovation, quality, fit and finish in hand crafted clothing. Maintaining this reputation over 25 years has been more of a challenge than building the brand.

During her years at NID, she developed a keen interest in Indian Textiles and traditional craft techniques.
After her graduation from the NID, she decided to pursue her interest in Indian textiles and traditional craft techniques, by collaborating with craftspeople to develop a range of textiles products for an urban market.
In the initial years, she travelled to remote corners of the country to study, understand and experience the vast variety of weaving, dyeing and printing and embroidery skills practiced by people of different parts of the country. She realized that each region offered its own unique skill of weaving, dyeing, printing, distinctive color palettes, ornamentation, motifs and a rich design vocabulary.
This was a very enriching journey and become the base for all her future work.
Because of her great interest and passion for the tie and dye technique, she decided to call her company Bandhej
Through this journey, while collaborating with crafts people, giving new directions to the age old crafts and giving it a more contemporary interpretation, over the years, Archana has been able to invigorate and revive many dying crafts. In the process, she has popularized and found new markets for hand crafted textiles.
Archanas association with the artisans is not just a passion, but has grown into a commitment. She would like to project Bandhej as a brand that offers a high standard of craftsmanship as its hallmark.
Bandhej now has a chain of six shops, two in Ahmedabad and one each in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Delhi.
The BANDHEJ Brand stands for well priced handcrafted fashion, offered to patrons in contemporary silhouettes with an Indian sensibility.
